“반가워 나는 4살 둘째 고양이 망치야! 나는 온몸이 검은색이라 밤에는 눈만 보이지!”
“안녕~ 나는 노오란 막내 고양이 버터야 만나서 반가워~”
세 고양이는 어디를 가든 항상 함께 다니는 사이좋은 친구들이죠.
무슨 일이 생겨도 항상 셋이 꼭 같이 붙어 다녀요.
“오늘은 무슨 일이 생길까?”
망치가 주위를 두리번거리며 재밋거리를 찾고 있어요.
“망치야 우리 오늘 같이 새로운 보금자리를 찾아보기로 했잖아~”
“맞아 이제 더 추워지기 전에 좋은 장소를 찾아야 되는데, 히잉~”
“맞다~! 우리 셋이 같이 들어가도 안전한 곳을 찾기로 했지?!”
세찬 바람이 슝슝 들어와 세 고양이가 꼭 부둥켜안고 잠을 자도 너무 추운 밤이에요.
그래서 똘이와 망치와 버터는 새로운 보금자리를 찾기로 했어요~!
“얘들아 우리 각자 흩어져서 좋은 장소들을 찾아보자!”
“그래~! 그럼 우리 1시간 뒤 여기서 다시 모이는 거야~!”
세 고양이가 각자 다른 방향으로 가서 좋은 보금자리가 있는지 찾아봅니다.
그런데 갑자기..! 버터가 소리를 칩니다.
“야옹! 아파 나를 놔 줘! 야옹야옹!”
“왜 그래 무슨 일이야?”
“버터야 어디 있어! 너 괜찮은 거야?!”
똘이와 망치가 헐레벌떡 달려가 보니, 덩치 큰 까마귀 떼들이 버터를 괴롭히고 있었어요.!
“야옹야옹! 그만해! 버터를 놓아줘!”
“깍깍 얘가 먼저 우리 구역을 침범했다고! 그래서 혼쭐 내주는 거야”
“난 몰랐어 좋은 장소가 있길래 그냥 한번 들여다보려고 한 건데..!”
“우리가 여기는 먼저 왔어 그러니 꿈도 꾸지 마!!”
똘이와 망치가 까마귀들을 떼어 놓고 버터를 살펴봅니다.
다행히 버터가 크게 다치지는 않았지만 털이 듬성듬성 뽑히고 말았네요.
“버터야 괜찮아? 너 털이 잔뜩 뽑혔어!”
“응 난 괜찮아~ 우리 빨리 다른 곳으로 가자”
버터가 눈물을 훔치며 똘이와 망치에게 말합니다.
“그 좋은 자리를 까마귀들이 먼저 찾았을 줄은 몰랐네 아쉽다..!”
“나도 까마귀들이 있는 줄 모르고 간 건데, 정말 우리 셋이 지내기에는 딱 좋은 곳이었는데..!”
“걱정 마 우린 곧 좋은 장소를 찾을 수 있을 거야~!”
똘이와 망치와 버터가 서로를 위로합니다.
