길대부인이 늦은 나이에 태기가 생겼지 뭐야.
오구대왕과 길대부인은 크게 기뻐하면서
더더욱 정성을 다해 치성을 드렸어.
해와 달의 기운까지 끌어모으고
열 달 동안 정성을 다해 태어난 첫째는
딸이었어.
“예로부터 첫 딸은 살림 밑천이라 했다.”
오구대왕은 기뻐하며 첫 아이를 축복했지.
첫 공주를 시작으로
뒤를 이어 아이들은 계속 태어났어.
둘째도 셋째도 넷째도 계속 딸이 태어났지.
“허어…… 아들이 있어야 대를 이을 텐데……
앞으로는 누가 조상을 모시려나……쯧쯧…… ”
오구대왕은 새로운 근심이 생겼어.
다섯째도, 여섯째도 딸이 태어나자

곧 아기가 태어날 날이 다가오고
길대부인은 여느 때와 다르게
